Be The Match at Michigan Blood
"Be The Match" is a registry for bone marrow donations and Michigan Blood offers facilities at which people can donate.
We are very proud of our work on the Be The Match at Michigan Blood video. We feel that this project gave us the opportunity to get creative by expressing our love for Grand Rapids. In making this video, we were asked to showcase all that our city has to offer, so we got to sit back and make a list of all the things we love to do - and then we went and filmed them! Michigan Blood's donation center is truly impressive. It is all brand new and looks very comfortable for donors. In making this, we learned a lot about bone marrow donation - especially that Michigan Blood's technique doesn't take marrow from the bones, but rather filters stem cells from the blood. |

Mosaic Mobile 2015 Promo
This promo was created to encourage high school students to participate in the Mosaic Mobile Film Competition.
We had so much fun creating this video with these talented (and silly!) young actors. The whole video was shot and edited in one fun-filled 24 hour period. Mosaic Mobile Promo 2015 was nominated for the Eclipse Award for Editing. We are very proud of this achievement since this promo was shot and edited all on an iPhone 5s! To make this promo happen, we wanted to make sure that it was something that the high school students themselves could have made, so we decided not to use any of our normal camera, audio, or editing equipment. The only professional equipment we used was the white background and some small film lights. |
Camrin's Story
Degage Ministries is a community center serving the homeless and low-income in the Heartside Neighborhood of Grand Rapids.
One of the many programs that Dégagé offers is the ID Office, where staff and volunteers assist with the process of getting vital records, including state IDs, birth certificates and marriage licenses. This video tells the story of Camrin and the staff member who walked alongside him to get his State of Michigan ID. We really enjoyed working with Camrin who was always in great spirits throughout the process. It was very special for us to be a part of this important day with him. |
