To whom it may concern,
I am writing to tell you that your good taste has put a smile in my soul. I'm not entirely sure how you do it - and I'm not asking for your methods, but however it is you come up with such delicious media to share, keep it up!
I would like to address this letter to three types of friends:
1) To the friend who always knows the best music: You know who you are. Always on the cutting edge of tasty tracks. I'd imagine that although this is a great gift for those of us who listen to office radio all day it must be a curse for you. Always feeling that good songs are SO overplayed, underplayed, under appreciated or overrated. Thank you for carrying this burden for us. Without you my life would be a vanilla blur of watered-down pop music and CDs steeped in nostalgia.
2) To the friend who shares all those hilarious internet memes: Thank you for doing the dirty work on the internet for me. You must comb through floods of unfunny photo/quote combinations to find the one that makes me laugh out loud while all alone. You make procrastinating fun! So I guess it would be best for me if you stopped? But don't really because you make me so happy!
3) To the friend who convinced me that video games are art: This was uncharted territory for me. I grew up on N64 playing terrible licensed games like Superman 64 and had turned my back on the medium. Because of your guidance, I've had some of the most emotional experiences in media possible and have fallen in love with everything from big monsters to geometric shapes.
Thank you all for spicing up my life.
